On April 11 the United Way of Crawford County held their Annual Meeting and recognized many community members and businesses for their gifts to United Way. Recognized as top corporate donors were: Ohio Mutual Insurance Group, Timken Company, Crossroads Original Designs, Bucyrus Blades, Inc. a division of ESCO Corporation, and National Lime and Stone.

Melinda Teynor was recognized as Sustaining Advocate of the Year for her generous advocacy and leadership on United Way of Crawford County’s Advisory Council, and Dostal & Kirk received the Live United Community Spirit Award.

Speaking on behalf of United Way’s community impact were Cindy Wallis of Community Counseling Services, Inc., Karl Schwechheimer with the American Red Cross, Tammy Crabtree of the Ohio Heartland Community Action Commission, and Jim Nicholson of Mid-Ohio Youth Mentoring, all recipients of United Way of Crawford County grants.

Community members and businesses also celebrated the fact that United Way of Crawford County is currently less than $12,000 away from reaching the amount needed to fund their community partners.

Many thanks to everyone who helped put together the annual recognition event, including ADM Benefits Plan Agency, Katering Kountry Style, Trillium Event Center, Norton’s Flowers, and our award artist, Sandy Laipply.
