United Way of Marion County held their 2nd Annual Designer Purse Bingo event on Saturday, July 20 at The Barn at All Occasions Catering in Waldo. The sold-out event brought more than 400 supporters together to enjoy a night filled with prizes, food, and fun.

Twenty brand new designer handbags, including purses from Kate Spade, Michael Kors, and Coach, were awarded to the Bingo winners.

This year’s event, spearheaded by United Way’s Women United – a collaboration between United Way and the Marion Women’s Business Council – raised more  than $25,000 for United Way of Marion County. Part of the funds will go to the Women’s Business Council Scholarship Fund with the Marion Community Foundation. This annual scholarship is awarded to female students from Marion County who are interested in pursing studies in business and other related fields.
