Crawford’s 2019 Purse Bingo Kicks Off Annual Campaign
Popular annual event raises more than $15,000!
United Way of Crawford County held their 6th Annual Designer Purse Bingo event on Saturday, September 14 at the Crawford County Fairgrounds Youth Building. The sold-out event is a community favorite, and brought more than 300 supporters together to enjoy a night filled with prizes, food, and fun.
Twenty brand new designer handbags, including purses from Kate Spade, Michael Kors, and Coach, were awarded to the Bingo winners.
The event also served as a Stuff the Car collection site, collecting donations of nutritious, child-friendly, non-perishable food provisions for the Bucyrus Backpack Program, serving Bucyrus City Schools; and Ohio Heartland Community Action Commission’s Backpack Program, serving Galion City Schools. The local backpack programs are working to reduce food insecurity in our community.
This year’s event – sponsored by Crossroads Original Designs, My Floors by Prints & Paints, Avita Health System, Firelands Federal Credit Union, Dostal & Kirk Insurance & Financial Services, Ohio Mutual Insurance Group, United Bank, Wise Funeral Service, Crawford County Now, Kimmel Corporation, Donley Ford of Galion, and The Computer Guru – raised more than $15,000 for United Way of Crawford County. Claudia Spiegel and Eric Faulds of the North Central Ohio Media Group, which includes Iconic Rock Q92.7 WQEL, Country Legends 1540/107.5 WBCO and Crawford County Now, served as emcees and bingo callers for the night. Chris Stone was our 2019 Purse Model!
Special thanks to all of the United Way board members, volunteers, and sponsors for helping to make the 2019 Designer Purse Bingo such an overwhelming success.
