Workplace Giving

You can make an automatic contribution from your paycheck or make a gift of cash or check through your company’s workplace giving campaign. Some employers even match all or part of your gift, significantly increasing your investment. If you are interested in holding a campaign in your workplace, get more info here or call United Way of North Central Ohio at 740-383-3108.

Donate Stocks/Securities

For many people, investments in securities represent a significant portion of their assets. Stocks and other investments are often an important part of one’s long-term plans, providing a nest egg to rely on in the future. Did you know that your investments can also be an excellent source of charitable gifts? Stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and other securities that you have owned for more than one year not only make convenient gifts, but can provide you with welcome tax benefits as well. Please call us at 740-383-3108 to discuss a donation of stocks or securities.

Planned Giving

Investors may choose to make United Way of North Central Ohio the designated beneficiary of life insurance or retirement plan proceeds. Life insurance polices with built-up cash value can make convenient tax-deductible gifts. Naming United Way a beneficiary of a retirement plan can result in significant tax savings. For more information, call us at  740-383-3108.
