Crestline Council Meeting Includes Community Center Update from UWNCO’s Wertman
At the October 21, 2019 Crestline Council Meeting, Village Administrator John Rostash gave updates on a variety of ongoing village improvement projects, including the renovation of the former Golden Age Center building into the Crestline Community Center. Amber Wertman, executive director of United Way of North Central Ohio, was on hand to comment on United Way’s involvement in the Community Center and the development of programming to serve the residents of Crestline.
“There is a lot of momentum in Crestline. We have about $24,000 each year for programming that will benefit Crestline residents of all ages,” Wertman said, explaining that the funds for programming comes from donations made to United Way each year by businesses, individuals, and organizations.
Programming being planned for the Crestline Community Center includes a site to serve communal lunches for seniors, providing social interaction as well as nutrition; and a Music, Movement and More program for children.
