Beth Anne Jarvis, UWNCO Development Director for Crawford and Morrow
Beth Anne Jarvis Joins United Way of North Central Ohio as Development Director; Development Team Restructured to Better Serve Five-County Region
United Way of North Central Ohio is pleased to announce the addition of Beth Anne Jarvis to the UWNCO development team. Jarvis will serve as development director for Crawford and Morrow counties, building and managing workplace campaigns with local businesses, coordinating fundraising efforts, and developing relationships with donors and community impact partners.
Jarvis is a Galion native and is active in the community, serving in integral roles with Galion Community Theatre, Galion Main Street, and Galion Kiwanis. She also choreographs and instructs at Eagle Dance Center and several local school districts.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my first couple of weeks on the job with the team at UWNCO,” Jarvis said. “I’m looking forward to making new connections in the community and learning more about the amazing work our impact partners are doing. I’m especially excited to spend time in Morrow County; I had the opportunity last week to visit with folks in Mt. Gilead and learn about some awesome local resources from the Morrow County Kiwanis. There is so much good in our communities and I’m happy to be helping support everyone in the region.”
“Beth Anne joining us in December presented a great opportunity to evaluate the framework of our development team,” said Amber Wertman, UWNCO CEO. “It has been nearly a year since Morrow County joined our United Way region and six months since our merger with Tiffin-Seneca United Way was finalized, and we want to make sure our team is providing optimal outreach in each of the five counties we serve.”
Beginning January 1, the UWNCO development team has been restructured to include Jarvis’ new position supporting Crawford and Morrow counties with Nikki Distel serving as development director for Wyandot County and Tiffin-Seneca United Way and UWNCO Chief Development Officer Angie Voll as development director for Marion County.
When asked about expanding her development work into Wyandot County, Distel said, “There is so much crossover between Seneca and Wyandot, with individuals living in one county and working in the other, that the extension of my role makes sense. I’m excited about the opportunity to not only grow in my position as development director but to also be a connector between these two amazing communities. I’m looking forward to building new relationships while expanding the work UWNCO is already doing in Wyandot County.”
In her new role, Distel is already working with Wyandot County Public Health and Open Door Resource Center in Upper Sandusky to enhance United Way’s 211 Resource Hotline services in the county.
The restructuring of the UWNCO Development Team follows the move of the organization’s Marion office to temporary space at 1798 Marion-Cardington Road in Marion. “We’ve been looking for a new headquarters in Marion for some time,” Wertman said. “We’d like a space large enough to accommodate more community outreach and communal interaction with our partner organizations. This temporary move into offices through Cummins Facility Services’ Shared Spaces program gives us time to find the ideal building.”
UWNCO’s Tiffin office is open and staffed at 201 S. Washington Street in Tiffin.
