United Way Excited to Play Part in “Crestline Comeback”

A recent article in the Bucyrus Telegraph Forum detailed the role of village residents in the transformation the community of Crestline is undergoing, from retirees committing time to weed downtown walkways; building owners taking on restoration and renovation projects; and village administration and staff tackling repairs, cleaning, and painting. Dubbed the “Crestline Comeback” and steered by the Crestline Community Development Team, efforts include new Christmas banners, planters on downtown light poles in the spring, a new museum for the Crestline Historical Society in the former Knights of Columbus building, and the reinvention of the former Golden Age Center  as the Crestline Community Center.

United Way is excited to partner with the Crestline Community Development Team in building a strong platform of community programming for the new Center, including plans for congregate lunches for seniors, and Music, Movement, & More classes for children and parents. United Way of Crawford County also participated in a recent Volunteer Day painting the interior of the Center.
